Purpose-built vertical machining infrastructure for pattern plates, core boxes, and complex tooling across a wide range of sizes and geometries.
Core Capabilitie
What Aerox Delivers
Every service under one roof — from design and machining to inspection and dispatch.
⚙️
🔬
Reverse Engineering
In-house 3D scanning and CAD reconstruction — enabling pattern development directly from worn originals, physical samples, or obsolete legacy tooling. No drawings required.
🔩
Tool & Die Patterns
Precision-machined die patterns and tool bodies for press tools, forming dies, and stamping tooling to tight dimensional tolerances.
🏭
Machining Fixtures & Jigs
Custom fixtures and jigs designed for VMC operations — ensuring repeatability, reducing setup time, and eliminating positional error across production batches.
📐
Precision Inspection
Multi-stage dimensional verification using granite surface plates, digital height gauges, and 3D scan comparison — ensuring every pattern meets casting-grade requirements.
🚀
Rapid Turnaround
Dedicated capacity for urgent replacement patterns. Fully integrated workflow from design to dispatch eliminates subcontracting delays and keeps your schedule intact.

Precision VMC Machining
Dedicated VMC capability for both large-format and medium-complexity patterns — no compromise on accuracy or surface quality.
WHY AEROX
Built Different
Aerox Engineering is not a general machining shop. It is a purpose-built, world-class pattern manufacturing operation.
🎯
🔄
Integrated Reverse Engineering
In-house 3D scanning and CAD reconstruction enables pattern development from physical samples — no drawings required.
⚡
Shorter Lead Times
Fully integrated in-house workflow from design to inspection eliminates subcontracting delays and keeps delivery schedules tight.
🏗️
Foundry-Optimized Solution
Pattern designs incorporate casting methoding knowledge — ensuring the tooling is optimized for your specific moulding process.
🧱
Flexible Material Selection
Wood, aluminium, resin, or cast iron — material selection is engineered to match your production volume and casting process.
✅
Zero-Compromise Quality
Multi-stage inspection and formal sign-off on every pattern before dispatch. What leaves our shop is what your foundry needs — first time.
Pattern Types & Applications
Aerox Engineering manufactures the full range of pattern types required by modern foundries 4 from simple single-piece patterns to complex match plate and core box assemblies. Each pattern type is engineered to the specific casting process and production volume requirements of the customer.
Loose Patterns
Single-piece and segmented loose patterns for prototype, low-volume, and large one-off castings. Manufactured from pattern-grade materials with correct shrinkage allowances and draft geometry 4 ready for handramming or semi-automated moulding.
Cope and drag patterns mounted on a precision-machined aluminium or cast iron plate for high-speed automated moulding lines. Engineered to DISA, HWS, and BMD moulding machine standards 4 delivering consistent casting dimensions across highvolume production runs.
Match Plate Patterns
Core Boxes
Shell core, cold-box, and hand-ram core boxes for internal cavity formation. Engineered with precise core print geometry, vent provisions, and ejector systems 4 critical for pump impellers, valve bodies, manifolds, and hollow structural castings.
Cope & Drag Patterns
Gated Pattern Assemblies
Reverse Engineered Patterns

Split pattern assemblies for medium and large castings, manufactured with precision-located dowel systems and hardened wear inserts. Suitable for green sand, no-bake, and CO¢ moulding processes across ferrous and non-ferrous foundry applications.
Fully integrated runner, gate, and riser systems machined into the pattern assembly. Designed using casting methoding principles to optimise fill velocity, minimise turbulence, and reduce post-cast fettling 4 used in automotive and commercial vehicle casting lines.
Patterns reconstructed from worn originals, physical castings, or obsolete tooling using industrial 3D scanning and CAD reconstruction. No original drawings required 4 output is a fully dimensioned, foundryready pattern with documented inspection report.
